my heart is heavy in my chest
pumping oil, lead and mercury
poison fluid, big success--
little pricks rushing to sea
but sometimes my heart is a cloud
floating free and singing loud
cheering like a druggy crowd
for our dream festivity
see here, our hearts love the good
sweeter, better understood
we love our mind, love our souls
love how the waters of the cosmos flow--
are they running for us, or for things that died
eyes turned upwards, side-by-side?
between the shattered cracks we spied
nothing lonely hearts can show
there's nothing here but black, black sand
nothing to salvage in this land
nothing to eat, nothing that stan
